This is my kiddo. She’s pretty cute, huh?
(I promise this is about mini sessions and
not just a ploy to post photos of my little one.)
She goes to school (some call it daycare) at St. Paul Lutheran Child Development Center, just south of downtown. It’s a humble place. But, it’s also pretty fabulous with amazing teachers who love our kiddos and provide an wonderful environment for the children to grow, play and learn. We love it there. One of the neat things about our CDC is that it serves a number of teenage parents, who without good daycare, might not be able to finish high school and get their diploma. I love knowing that these kids are working hard to better themselves and have great support to do so. So why all the talk about our daycare?
A couple of weeks ago someone vandalized our small little playground, broke the fence and took everything, including picnic tables. It’s the worst feeling knowing that someone has taken something from children. That’s what these people have done, they’ve stolen from our kids. Now, my wonderful daughter and her friends just know that the fence was broken and they can’t play there until it’s fixed. She’s a child and has no idea of these larger things in our world. And while these small things, toys, tables, etc don’t really matter, I’d like to do something to help the center rebuild what was lost.
That’s where mini-sessions come in. I have 5 mini sessions available on Feb. 25. Each session will include 20-30 minutes of shooting time and a disc of images. These are open for family, babies, children or couples. The sessions will be $175 and checks will be made payable to St. Paul Lutheran CDC. I won’t see any of the money. This will be a straight donation to the daycare. I’m hoping the discounted price will mean we fill all five spots. I think it’s a win/win, you get new images of your beautiful families and our daycare gets a good sized donation to help recoup what was lost. So….who’s in?!
